100 teams take part in a-Hub hackathon

Visakhapatnam: Several youngsters from across the State took part in the second of a series of hackathons conducted by a-Hub (Andhra University Incubation Center), Alcove Partners, TiE Andhra Pradesh and Nasscom here.
The two-day hackathon concluded on Sunday with the theme Vision-Resource Conservation-IoT. The hackathon was sponsored by The Digifac and Sandlogic Technologies.
The hackathon was open to all including students and working professionals. There were over 100 teams who took part representing various educational institutions like Andhra University, Raghu Engineering College, VIT-AP, DIET, GITAM deemed to be university, JNTU-K, Gonna Institute and Lankapalli Bullayya College.
Participating teams worked on their solutions online on Saturday while they continued developing their solutions on Sunday at a-Hub. "We had 73 teams and over 225 participants at the last Hackathon. This time there were over 100 teams and 400 participants. We are encouraging innovation and problem solving to create a community of entrepreneurs," said Ravi Eswarapu, CEO of a-Hub.
